SHIFT 3LACK 20TH YEAR GI FRO PANTS
In 1997 Shift and Jeff Emig set out to do things differently, crafting a narrative that would send reverberations through the sport for decades to come. For 2018, we pay homage to his historic 1997 season with our “G.I. Fro” 20th-anniversary 3LACK label gear set.
We worked hard to maximize rider benefits by focusing on materials, weight, and design innovation. The form-fitting design molds to the shape of your body, reducing drag and wind flap while maintaining the ideal amount of stretch. As soon as your throw your leg over the bike, you’ll feel each movement is natural and uninhibited. With a 600D polyester main body construction, you get the perfect balance of durability and weight. It feels substantial, yet lightweight. Then there’s the articulated construction, thoughtfully cut and sewn to put you in the most comfortable riding position possible. On top of that, 4-way stretch knees and back yoke panels add flexibility in all the right places.
The 3LACK Label G.I. Fro Pants are designed to take a beating while maintaining rider comfort. For when temperatures rise, a combination of laser cut perforations, vented knee panels and breathable rear yoke work together to make sure don't overheat mid-ride. A triple-layer knee dramatically improves durability. And burn guards on the inner knee give you addition strength and grip. Other carefully considered details include a silicone inner waist lining to keep the jersey tucked, mesh lower legs to improve comfort in the boot and a ratchet closure to dial in the fit.
